Editors Note-if format issues in laptop/desktop view, please try reading on tablet/phone

A good turn out of members attended the 2023 PASALB AGM and Social on 27th June, held at The Old Nickhttps://www.oldnickholborn.co.uk/   pub in Holborn, followed by a pub crawl organised by CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale).

Panagiota Papaioannou
PASALB has been pleased to sponsor Giota and the meeting began with her joining us for a Facetime conversation. Pana thanked PASALB for its support and wished the meeting well. The meeting thanked her for making time to speak to us whilst on holiday and gave a toast to her success, with hopes that our sponsorship will continue.

The AGM formalities did not take long (committee members were re-elected) and there were updates from the PASALB darts team (currently top of the league – congratulations fellas!) and Pool teams, along with news of our recently revived golf days, and news from the PASALB football team, who still play ad-hoc fixtures.

PASALB Player of the Year 2023 was Captain Joe Edwards https://www.pasalb.london/pasalb-player-of-the-year-2023/

Darts Secretary’s Report
The Darts team won the 2022-23 League with a 100% record! The team has evolved during the year with two stalwarts moving on and replaced by new players. The team remains in the cup after beating Exeter. Games continue to be played at The Libertine and new players remain welcome.

Chair’s Report formalities concluded with the Chairs Report https://www.pasalb.london/pasalb-chairs-report-2023/

There was also a presentation of the PASALB fantasy football trophy to this season’s winner – congratulations Daniel Ford!

The night continued with visits to some other local CAMRA recommended pubs, including The Old Red Lion and Shakespeares Head.

We look forward to seeing you next year!

Note- Thanks to PASALB Secretary John Williams for preparation of the full minutes which (including accounts prepared by treasurer Neil Bavongton) are available to any member on request.
