Leyton Orient 0-2 Argyle

Leyton Orient 0-2 Argyle

After fourteen minutes of this League Two encounter, Argyle were a goal – and two players – to the good.

They made hard work of it, but were rarely troubled during the remainder of the game and ran out comfortable winners in the end.

The Pilgrims’ opening goal, from Jimmy Spencer on 11 minutes, came between two sendings-off.

The first came with only 20 seconds on the clock, when O’s captain Robbie Weir hacked at Ben Purrington.

Weir was followed into the dressing-room only 13 minutes later by teammate Jens Janse, who was dismissed for a foul on Jake Jervis.

Argyle mustered 25 attempts at goal, but had to wait until six minutes from time for Ryan Donaldson to make the game safe with his first strike for the club.
